Kyrgyzstan Guides is written and edited by one person. This page says who that is and what the site is and is not.
Toofan Singh
I am an India-based traveller and the founder of Kyrgyzstan Guides. I started this site because planning a Kyrgyzstan trip from India meant stitching together forum threads, outdated blog posts and operator pages that contradicted each other — and I wanted one place where the practical answers were gathered, sourced and kept current.
My own travel has been mostly across India — Mumbai, Nashik, Pune and Assam among others. I say that plainly because this site’s credibility rests on research quality, not on claimed presence in every valley it covers. Where a guide reflects first-hand experience it says so; where it is compiled from official sources, operator pricing and recent traveller reports, it reads that way too.
What I actually do here
- Compile every guide from primary sources — government visa portals, UNESCO and Ramsar listings, park authorities, CBT offices — plus current operator pricing.
- Express costs as ranges in som with a dollar equivalent and a stated exchange rate, because a single number goes stale within a season.
- Update guides when the facts change, and change the visible update date only then.
- Answer corrections personally.
